Please find below Top Tips For Spotting A Fake, Pre-Owned Rolex ...

1. Rolex has never manufactured a watch with a see-through case. If you see a glass-back case on a watch, move on. Youre not looking at a Rolex.

2. Rolex have never fabricated a case or a band with even the smallest amount of rubber. You know its a fake if you feel rubber.

3. Skeleton dials display the moving parts of a timepiece. A skeleton dial may look trendy, but that doesnt mean its a Rolex.

4. Oyster Perpetual Rolex watches always have a screwed-back case never a pop-up.

5. Rolex Oysters are fabricated of stainless steel, gold or platinum. Chrome or chrome-plate is never used.

6. Only mens full-size Rolex watches have day and date features.

7. The case of a Rolex President is platinum, 18-karat yellow or white gold never stainless steel or two-tone stainless and gold.

8. Rolex watches are not gold-plated ever. In the quest for how to identify a Rolex watch; look for either 14 or 18-karat gold.

9. Surprise, surprise. Rolex does make a watch with a quartz movement the Perpetual Oyster, but be careful before you buy. Quartz movements comprise fewer than 10% of all Perpetual Oysters. The other 90% are conventional automatic Rolex movements.

10. Rolex is a Swiss company that in years past manufactured watches in various other countries including the U.S, Mexico, Italy and Venezuela but never China. A Chinese-made Rolex is a 'genuine fake'

Things That You Can Do To Protect Yourself:1. Never buy a watch on the street.

2. Never buy used Rolex watches from an Internet dealer unless he also operates a brick and mortar store situated in a secure, respectable location.

3. A customer always should always have the option to visit the proprietors store and personally inspect a watch. A used Rolex, like a new one, should always come with a warranty.

4. Never buy Rolex watches in the Far East or Turkey, even if the dealer has a storefront presence.

Fake Taylormade Superquad (and Nike)

Just to reiterate the other warnings about the plethora of Fake Taylormade drivers on Ebay. Last week I bought a Superquad driver from vcsfjpada123 (shop name is fully super - there is nothing super about the goods being sold). IT IS A VERY CONVINCING FAKE - my local TaylorMade retailer took ten minutes to find something wrong with it (mainly the grip and the shaft - the head of the club is almost identical to a genuine club). DO NOT BUY ANY GOODS FROM THIS SELLER.Even if tempted ask for the serial number - they won't have it as it is shipped from a warehouse. (The serial no on my fake is 8BB64GCL.)Payment was not through Paypal but through ppescrow. I have no doubt I have lost my money. The reason I bought the driver was because the item location was listed as "GW, United Kingdom". It arrived in a box from China last Thursday. I played with it on both Thursday and Friday and it hit further than my Cobra F-Speed. However, the club is still a fake and this guy is ripping you off.The items listed for sale now include Nike drivers. I will spoil as many auctions as I can until they are off Ebay.WC

The Chemistry of a Paintball

Who can guess what a mild hypnotic, cardiac drug, cough and cold preparation, stool softener, stage blood, Easter egg, colouring kits, and paintball all have in common? One is a gelatin shell and the other is some of the most demanding chemistry in die health and beauty and recreational industries.

You see all of the above products are soft, elastic, gelatin capsules - softgels. Softgels are one piece, hermetically sealed capsules that are comprised of a liquid fill contained in a gelatin shell. The fill material can be a simple solution or a complex suspension containing oils, waxes, polymers, drugs, dyes, pigments, fragrances, and other components whose names would challenge even the most astute organic chemist. Organic chemists are not the only discipline that can be involved in the development of a paintball. There is room for the inorganic chemist, physical chemist, biochemist, and even a physicist or two.

Now for a little history about the sport of paintball: The first use of paintballs was to mark livestock and trees for slaughter or harvest with oil-based paint. Well of course it did not take long for one yahoo to shoot another yahoo and the game of paintball was born. Well the wives of these yahoos did not appreciate the permanent marks these early paintballs left on the clothes (nor did the landowners who found more trees and animals marked for roundup than intended). Well the yahoos figured this burgeoning sport was too good to give up so they got word back to the manufacturer of the paintballs that there was a demand for a water-soluble paint for recreational use. The formulators in this case were the Production Chemist, Quality Control Manger, and Quality Control/Product Development Chemist. These people knew the most about what may or may not work for this project.

The original paintball was filled with oil-based paint because the fill material of a softgel must be anhydrous (gelatin dissolves in water!) Regular latex paint contains a high percentage of water and would not work so the product development team knew that it was up to them to develop something unique to the manufacturing process.

The fill material had to be water-soluble, anhydrous; capable of carrying dyes and/or pigments, non-staining, thick enough not to run off once it hits its target, and compatible with the gelatin shell. The material of choice was a combination polyethylene glycol with a molecular weight of 400 (PEG 400) and a molecular weight of 3350 (PEG 3350). The PEG 400 would be the main carrier and the PEG 3350 the thickener to support the pigments. Lower molecular weight PEG's were not chosen because these smaller molecules are capable of penetrating the triple- helix coil of gelatin and acting like a plasticizer. The main plasticizer in the shell (remember these are soft gelatin capsules) is glycerin. Now glycerin is soluble in the PEG 400 and will migrate into the fill material causing the capsule to become brittle over time. Thus a small amount of glycerin was added to the paint formula to establish equilibrium with the shell. This equilibrium is dynamic and will fluctuate depending on the humidity. Therefore, a secondary plasticizer is added to the gelatin shell that is less soluble in the PEG 400. Because this secondary plasticizer is not as efficient a plasticizer as glycerin it cannot be used alone.

The primary pigment is titanium dioxide because of its superior opacity (rutile structure of course). Six (6) food and pharmaceutical grade dyes are used to produce the myriad of colours found in paintballs. Eventually fluorescent pigments would be introduced to brighten things up a bit.

The gelatin shell of the paintball required special attention as well. The gelatin shell had to withstand the sudden acceleration from zero (0) to 300 feet per second (200 mph) in a span of 14 inches then hit a relatively soft body at 100 feet and break. So the shell had to be strong, yet brittle. Now remember that there is interaction between the shell and the fill material. The plasticizer has a habit of going into the fill material while the entire capsule, fill and shell, is like a sponge and is sensitive to fluctuations in humidity and temperature Well, when all appears hopeless there are a few more tricks in the chemistry bag. to try.

First we adjust the plasticizer to gelatin ratio to minimize the amount of plasticizer in order to make a brittle shell. This also minimized the amount of plasticizer to migrate in the fill. Secondly, we used a gelatin derived from pig skins as opposed to the connective tissue of cows. It appears that the molecular weight distribution and the structure of the triple-helix coil from pigs make better paintballs.

In summary, there are few centres in the world that are capable of manufacturing paintballs. Without a doubt, paintballs are the most challenging and difficult product an encapsulator can run. At one point, ALL the paintballs in the world were being produced in Windsor, Ontario. This is because this is where the paintball as we know it today was invented. That was many years and billions of paintballs ago.

Bad Taste Bears

I am writing this with the recent problems Bad Taste Bears company had.

Firstly, they are still up and running. So if anyone is trying to sell you bears and say the company has gone bust, this is NOT true.

When buying Bad Taste Bears I always advise to do your research first. People have sold bears on here and stated that they are no longer available due to legal reasons. The famous one is Henry....mimicking the Henry Hoover, he was later replaced with J Edgar.

I have seen someone try and sell J Edgar as the rare one.

So, do research!!!

Check other people selling the same bear and ALWAYS read the description. You may find you are bidding on a broken bear, or a bear with no box.

Check the Buy It Now prices, unless there is something extra special, do not go over a Buy It Now price when bidding.

If you are new to Bad Taste Bears, check what are actual Bad Taste Bears. Bears have been sold under the Bad Taste Bear catergory that are not from the collection.

Check on the original site, sometimes you may find a bear that isnt on Ebay. BadTasteBears.com

I hope this helps.

DSX9 From the Far East etc

Further to my last guide on the 9303 and the "dangers" of self importing, I feel it is now necessary to warn potential ebayers of sourcing equipment from the Far East again. The DSX9 has been given certification for Europe. However, JR Radio somehow released DSX9 variants destined for the rest of world with a CE label attached. This creates a problem as these sets ARE NOT CE compliant and as such are illegal to use within the EU.The Far East sellers will tell you that the power output is the same as the American systems but it has a CE label. This is a contradiction as if the power level is the same as the US, then it cannot be CE compliant. The ONLY source for a fully compliant DSX9 for the UK and those countries within Europe who have allowed the use of 2.4 GHz, is via MacGregor Industries. If you are offered a DSX9 and you are not certain whether it is compliant or not, get the serial number and contact MacGregors and we can trace the serial number and batch number to ascertain whether it is a CE compliant system or not.

Washing machines

Do your research before bidding. Many of the machines on E bay, new or "graded" are selling at best only a few pounds under the price in Currys etc when you take into account the transport charges. Often you will be faced with real difficulties in case of a fault because of distances involved whereas a nationally known store even if you buy on the net will have local access to repair facilities.Remember the manufacturers warrenty is in addition to your legal rights and your first recouse is always to the retailer. He has a legal duty to supply you with goods which are fit for their purpose and last a reasonable length of time. The courts have decided that around 7 years would be reasonable for large common white goods like a washer,so you can see the 2 yr warrenty is rather a waste of time.Don't be fobbed off with "its a matter for the makers, not us" No it isn't, the retailer is responsible in law. See Sale of Goods Act or contact your local Trading Standards, they are usually eager to nail the villans, locally or nationally

Ford Capri MkI :RS 3100,3000 GXL,Perana V8,GT,3000E

Ford Capri Mk 1 Cars

This is one of many illustrated classic Ford car guides I've created for the community. I hope you enjoy it. If you wish to find out more about the classic Ford Capri Mk1 art featured in this guide please click here.

Introduced as "the car you always promised yourself", the Capri was seen as the European equivalent of the Mustang. Sporty and affordable, its sales markedly outstripped even the most optimistic predictions of Ford's marketing experts. An impressive record in international motor sports helped to further the Capri's image, and in the present day, the Capri holds a well earned place in Ford's stable of respected classics.

Capri 3000 GT 1969-1973

Ford introduced the much-hyped Capri in the Spring of 1969. The flagship was the V6-engined 3000 GT. Fitted with and up-rated version of Ford's Mk4 Zodiac Essex V6 engine, it gave almost unparalleled performance for the price and thus began a tradition that was to run until 1982.

Capri Perana V8 1970-1972

A V8-engined Capri developed by Basil Green Motors, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Officially backed by Ford SA and marketed through its country-wide dealer chain, Peranas started life as 3000Es and interestingly the engine transplant, giving two extra cylinders added only 14lbs (6.4kg) over the standard V6. With the V8 mounted well back in the newly fabricated chassis, weight distribution was a reasonably 53/47 front to back and performance was spectacular. One magazine recorded 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and 143mph!

Capri 3000E 1971-1972

Ford launched the 3000 E (E for Executive) at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show. The 1,541 flagship carried all the usual XLR options, plus the then fashionable vinyl roof, the first cloth seat inserts to be offered in British Capris and now a radio as standard. In October 1971 the previously lazy V6 was worked over to give an extra 9lb/ft of torque and 10bhp. It made the 3000E and 3000GT, according to Ford's PR men, "the fastest production line cars ever to be marketed by Ford in Britain".

Capri 3000 GXL 1972-1974

Ford announced a major facelift for the Mk 1 Capri in 1972. All cars now received big headlamps, bonnet bulges, new-style wheels, and a new style facia (which was carried forward to the Mk2 hatchback in 1974). An engine reshuffle saw the old-style 1600GT Kent dropped in favour of the OHC Pinto engine for the first time. The Capri 3000E gave way to a new four-headlamp 3000GXL. Although not rebadged, these were really Mk 1 models. Ford produced nearly 199,000 Capris in 1972.

Capri Broadspeed Turbo Bullit 1973

Ralph Broad, whose name needs very little introduction to fast Ford fans, introduced the "Turbo Built" in 1973. Based on the 3000GXL, this conversion was undertaken at Broadspeed's Southam, Warwickshire workshop, and was only ever available as a complete package. A genuine 140mph Capri, the turbocharger also provided stunning acceleration, with little, if any "turbo-lag".

Capri RS 3100 1973-1974

November 1973 saw the introduction of the limited edition Capri RS3100 - like the 3000GT, but with a 148bhp, 3.1-litre engine and large rear ducktail spoiler. As a homologation special, Ford officially needed to build 1,000 of these cars to be compliant with Group 2 regulations, though it is likely that only 250 were assembled before the energy crisis took effect.

Thank you for reading my guide and I hope you found it interesting!

Warning, read well and research

I have been looking for several new cameras lately, and am amazed at some of the hype in adverts

Read the ad carefully, there is a huge number of refurbished cameras on auction, and I have seen people pay the normal new price for them. The ads are so long, including every little detail, but this is a good way to disguise the small sentence that says it is refurbished.

I have seen small tripods as a gift with the camera, claiming they are worth 9.99, yet they are available in high st discount stores for 99p. Same goes for the cleaning kit, bag and card reader offered as a gift with them. Maybe the camera in the auction is equally over valued?

Check if it is supported in your country, and also note the warranty time. A 90 day warranty on a camera that has taken 4000+ shots already isn't worth much. Better value to buy a new one in the UK.

You may also have to pay import duty, whatever they may mark it as to avoid it.

Check online camera shops, and check prices and models.

Personally, I think the best second hand camera is only worth 66% of the price of a new one, certainly not more than the price of a new one.

fake callaway x20s

Dont be fooled by a cheap deal on ebay with the callaway x20s.I perchused these for 198 thinking they were the real deal but when i saw that they were from china i soon thought there could be a possibilty of them being fakes. I then compared the clubs with various pictures online and thought there were a few different things on the club from: the face of the club, this is coloured in black when it should be white. Also the grip was a touch different. There should also be a serial number on the 8 iron. I then took these to the nearest pro and soon found they were fakes and looked extemely simliar to the real ones but a few things out of place. So if you are not 100% sure take them to the nearest golf shop and find if these are real or fake, and remeber DONT HIT THE BALL as then you will not be able to recieve your money back.

Sony Ericsson C902 Features

The Sony Ericsson C902 Cyber-shot is similar to the C702. It has sleek looks and an even better camera with 5 megapixels, autofocus and xenon flash. The C902 lacks GPS and the outdoor durability of the C702 but offers improved camera functions. It's ultra-compact, stylish and has a unique lens cover that slides open to reveal the 5.0 megapixel camera lens. The phones lighting dramatically signals when you are in camera mode by switching from white to blue. The eight camera touch keys come to life and let you choose between camera modes, Photo Flash, Face Detection and Auto Focus, and more with just one touch without moving your finger from the shutter button.

Why cant Sellers leave Negative Feedback anymore

Now that Ebay has stopped Sellers leaving Negative feedback for Non paying Bidders etc, it is leaving a false description of Buyers that are prone to doing this. It makes it awkward for future Sellers to ascertain the credibility of potential timewasters.

Also, these timewasters STILL have the option of leaving negative feedback for the Seller if they feel inclined and want to be vindictive, now that is Disgraceful!!!

One such incident is member "statuscars", he took up a second chance offer from me, after no response andno checkout procedure, I filed unpaid item dispute, he finally communicated stating that he wanted item, I replied "pay through paypal". He stated he could,nt as "my paypal not working".

I thought this was strange as he is currently selling various items and offers paypal as a payment option, I asked him about this and he stated that he just offers it as an option but deals in cash etc. (DODGY), anyway enough was enough andI ended communication with this Timewaster and received a final value fee credit and he got an Unpaid item Strike, but I cant warn others about him via the feedback forum and this is where this new system falls flat!

Wessex Teak - Based in Essex - Scam

Do NOT buy from this company WESSEX TEAK...Chances are you will never see your garden furniture.
We are just some of the unhappy customers who have had time to write a review.
They have told me they are NOT trading on Ebay Anymore.
However, they have their own websites of 'PTC Imports' and 'Wessex Teak'. One of the same company.
I suggest we all need to get in contact with BBC WATCHDOG to name and shame them on national television.
They still have my money and will not respond properly to any of my emails.
Their phone number is an automated service so you cannot speak to them.
I will probably end up having to take them to court to see my 427.77
However I am very worried about them becoming bankrupt and never seeing 427.77
My whole experience with Wessex Teak has been really depressing.
I have never had a problem like this with any retailer. Watch out they are trying to trade on Amazon too!!!

Q: Will This Zoom Lens Give Me The best "Macro" Photos?

Here is my answer to this member's question:A: Dear eBay Member,To
answer your question directly, many EF Series zoom with the "Macro" focusing range do a very
credible job with close-ups (for a "zoom" model). However, they do not offer the
maximum possible image magnification. The "Closest Focusing Distance" is
quite near to the "subject", but not the closest possible. For really
close-focus macro pictures you might need a "True Macro Prime" (fixed
focal length) model that can get VERY close to your subject (less than
12").Canon makes two excellent REAL macro lenses that are
capable of very high magnification, the EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact-Macro and
the EF 100 f/2.8 Macro. There are no "TRUE MACRO" zooms, that
capability is reserved for "PRIME" lenses only.If you want to
capture things that the eye does not usually see, you need a real "TRUE
MACRO" prime lens. I like the 50mm Compact-Macro because it is
affordable and it produces outstanding results. If you need 1:1
"Life-Size" images, you may add the Canon EF Life-Size Adapter that
works specifically with this great lens.I have a review of that
model in eBay Reviews

Canvas tents - an Albion guide

I have just been reading through the helpful guides associated with camping, and as a tent designer and manufacturer I would agree with everything I have read so far. Now I mainly work in good old fashioned traditional heavy cotton canvas and most of the information given applies primarily to nylon tents or the lighter canvas framed tents.

There has been a huge increase in interest in and use of heavier canvas tents for the comfort and style they provide, and so I thought I would add my 'what to look for guide' on this type of tent. The styles I am mainly refering too are the bell tents, tipis, yurts, true geodesic domes, period tents etc which are made from the heavier canvas.

There are many qualities, weights and proofing differences available on the market before we even get to colours! So lets start with weights, which in effect relates to the thickness and strength of the canvas. Standard weights are given in ounces per square yard or grams per square metre, so the heavier they are the thicker and stronger the canvas should be. It should also be noted that the weight is given for the cloth in its loomstate condition; i.e. without proofing which will make it heavier.

Weight of Canvas

Weights start at 8 oz = 250 gsm (aprox), then 10 oz 330 gsm, 12 oz 390 gsm, 15 oz 510gsm, 24 oz 800 gsm. With proofing this adds about 25% to the loomstate weight.

In practice the 12oz has become the industry standard as its the most readily available; itis strong but not too heavy and is relatively easy tohandle.

8 oz is too light for many of the larger tent applications although small one and two man tents are great in it. It is also too light to be available with a fire retardantfinish.

10 oz is mainly used for the production run bell tents with aluminium pole sets and is generally not fire retardant, although some are said to use 12 oz canvas but check whether this is loomstate or proofed weight. I have made a few tents in 10 oz but have been unhappy with the water resistance compared to 12 oz canvas, and the weight saving is negligible seeing as most of us use a car to go camping.

15 oz canvas is mainly used for longer use tentslike yurts, to help resist the long exposure to the UK weather and for marquee roofs as it is much stronger than the 12 oz.

24 oz is mainly seenin relation to the imported yurts and is extremely heavy - an 18ft 5.4m diameter yurt cover will weigh in excess of 80kg in 24 oz 800 gsm canvas!

Water proofing

All quality canvas tents will be made from pre-proofed canvas, that means it will have been proofed on the roll before being made up into tents. This means the canvas will be properly impregnated with the proofings. Canvas tents dont usually have a rating like nylon tents which have a 'hydrostatic head' rating. This is because canvas is a naturally breathable material and tested in this way they are likely to leak. However because canvas swells when wet it creates its own seal and with the pitch of the roof water runs off readily. There are many re-proofing solution available but I would highly recomend Nikwax products. British standard for water proofing should be BS. 3408: 1992.

Rot Inhibitor

Included in the proofing process for canvas there should be a rot inhibitor. The beauty of natural canvas is its feel, breathability and the knowledge that it will eventually rot back down into the soil unlike nylons. However this does mean that it need some help to resist its natural tendency to return to mother earth via mould and mildew rotting, so you can get some use out of your tent. This is done by adding anti fungal treatments into the canvas proofing. If this has not been done or done poorly mould rears its ugly head and preventative action must be taken immediately. Seek professional advice if you are suffering with this. British standard for rot is BS. 2087: 1992.

Fire Retardant

This is the tricky one and many people don't want to have fire retardants in their canvas because of the chemical issues. As a commercial tent manufacturer that sells tents designed for use with wood burning stoves and open fires, all my tents are sold with fire retardant. Many of my clients use their tents for public use and they have to have fire retardants in them for public safety and insurance reasons. In the private world I would always recomend having your tent made with fire retardants even if you dont use wood burning stoves and open fires, gas cookers and candles are the main source of tent fires, and as cotton canvas will burn at around 3 - 5mph on a still day, there is no time to react. Fire retardant canvas also protects your investment, canvas tents arent cheap particularly yurts, and as I have known of a yurt burning down in the time it took for the owner to walk to the house to collect a torch and return, I would always recomend a fire retardant finish. Please remember it is ONLY a fire RETARDANT not fire PROOF, this means the fire will go out when the source of ignition is removed and will only burn very slowly, it is intendedto give you time to escape. British Standard for fire retardancy should be BS 5438/5867 or greater.

So if you are buying a tent with a stove I would check the canvas has a fire retardant and you have documentary proof. Sorry to sound like an old fuddy duddy but I have seen too many tears before bedtime!

To summarise check the weight and proofing of the canvas of your intended purchase to ensure you know exactly what you are getting. If fire retardancy is an issue ask for a certificate detailing the proofing and its BS numbers.

If you want any help with any of the issues raised you can contact me through my ebay shop - Albion Canvas ebay shop

Destination blinds

Most blinds found on ebay are those from London Transport buses. There are a small number from the provinces but these don't seem to have the same appeal. London blinds are divided into three main types. The original ones which were manufactured by London Transport at their Chiswick, and later, Aldenham works. These were made from screen printed paper labels which were stuck onto a linen backing. The blinds were tough and generally fade proof. When production at LT stopped the work was outshipped to Norbury Brothers of Cheshire and McKenna Brothers, now the main producers of all bus blinds in the UK. The blinds lost the distinctive Johnson typeface; the new lettering was handcut but the blinds were still white on black. The other departure was that they were printed on tyvek. Tyvek was a waxy papery fibrous material that was very hard to tear but was prone to 'fold over' resulting in large expanses of backing showing on the edges of frequently turned blinds. Later on the now familiar day-glo yellow/green was adopted as the typeface colour. Blue was still used to indicate Express routes and the now computer designed blinds were now seen to display logos which were much more easy to produce using the PC rather than the cut paper blank. Only problem is that the blinds are made using a PC program that isn't WYSIWYG i.e. the designer doesn't see the actual blind on his monitor. Because of this the fonts are shrunk on wordy displays causing some unusual effects. A help to drivers was the inclusion on the reverse of an exact reproduction, albeit about 10cm wide, of the actual display. back in the days of LT blinds the blinds would have been stamped with a rubber stamp showing the destination or destination/route no but no intermediates. No one type of blind can be said to be the most collectable. Trolleybus blinds from the 1950s still fetch good money, as do long Routemaster NNs from central London garages. Metrobus side blinds are dull and rarely reach more than 5. RF/SMS/RP type blinds do well, especially Country area ones. I assume their popularity is driven by owners of preserved vehicles who need them to complete 'the look'. Tube stock blinds are also very popular, sometimes reaching 50. District Line ones are common, Metropolitan less so.

buying property in bulgaria

bulgaria is a lovely place to buy property, like any place there are better and worse places to buy,i cannot speak for any property on the coast as i have not been there. if you are thinking of buying a village house, the overiding thing is to visit before you buy. due to the economic changes in the country, some villages are on the up,some are staying level, and some are most definately on the way down. the price of the houses for sale does not always reflect this,as there are always chancers taking advantage of people searching for a bargain.my advice is to budget for a veiwing holiday with a couple of agents in the area of your choice,as this will always be cheaper than buying even the cheapest property on ebay, that turns out to be a waste of money, as certain villages an houses have no value at all. why buy a house in a place you have never been, that has no value of any sort, when for the same money plus the price of a trip, say 750 to 1000 gbp,you can buy an ideal place. hope this helps you in your search

SUZUKI LT50 OR NECHT (LINMAX) COPY

I have read the guide by adalainejetski, and although he means well he is not correct. I have a genuine suzuki Lt50 and a linmax necht the Linmax is not a cheap chinese copy, it is an exact copy with no difference in parts or quality to the genuine suzuki, both quads were/are made in Korea (not Japan or China) i don't know for sure but they probably both come from the same factory. Suzuki stopped making the Lt50 in 2002 and started the LT50a with suspension, so i am guessing they sold the rights to Linmax to carry on producing the old Lt50, or suzuki still produce it and just badge it as Linmax.

In summary don't be put off bythe copies there is nothing wrong with them. all parts are fully interchangable with the genuine so finding spares is no problem. However don't pay as much for the copy, and this makes them great value for money. At the end of the day you are going to pay a premium for that suzuki badge and nothing els.

CHOOSING MAKE-UP TO COMPLIMENT BROWN EYES

CHOOSING MAKE-UP TO COMPLIMENT BROWN EYES:the best tip is to choose make-up that will draw attention to your eyes. if you have brown eyes- your lucky as you can use pretty much any colour make-up. your daytime look can be dramatic or simple- its up to you as you can pull it off. this guide will talk you through different looks and explain how to create them and i'll also discuss what works best for you. enjoy!you lucky girls with brown eyes have lots of make-up options. you can choose to wear eyeliner or not. a lot of looks that would be too harsh for lighter eyes will look great on you. whn you are creating a dramatic eye, or emphasising the eye, remember to leave the rest of your make-up subtle.if you have light brown eyes, this is such an unusual colour it would be a shame not to highlight them so definately try the smoky look and experiment with lots of different colours. use lots of muted shaddows, liners and crayons.SMOKEY EYES:you cant go wrong with dark matted colours. the smokey eye look is great and so easy to achieve when you know how.youll need: eye primer (you dont NEED it but its best for keeping your eyeshaddow put), two shaddows (one light, one dark), eyeliner, eyeshaddow brush and mascara.firstly youll need to prep the lid, this is the key to keeping your eyeshaddow put all day long. this will also stop your shaddow melting into your eyelid crease after a few hours. to do this, start wil an eyeshaddow base/primer. try MAC's prep and prime eye or fresh freshface perfecting eye primer.then youll need to apply eyeliner. if your going for a typical black, brown or grey smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colours above your lash line, making the line thicker in the middle of the eye. if you want to go for something a little different ie a jewel-toned colour, then violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye, so line the eyes with a purple, blue, or deep green liner. again, mac make great eyeliners but i also like ones by tigi, maybelline and loreal, so experiment untill you find something you like using.then blend in the colour on the bottom of your lashes. for colour on the bottom (a key smoky eye look) youll need a lighter eyeliner. the key is to smudge it slightly. you can also apply a bit of shaddow to get a full smudge effect. personally, i find rimmel eyeshaddows great and theyre reasonably priced too!next, apply a light base colour. again, the key to the smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with a darker hue. i prefer nice cream shades for my base which are very readily available. sweep a light, shimmery shaddow over your lids to your brow bone. try stilla's whipped eye shaddows. they are of a kind of mousse consistency and really do seem to stay on forever. taupe and pearl are must-have colours.now blend in the darker colour, but keep the colour below the crease or youll risk looking like you have two black eyes. now that you have the base and eyeliner on, its time to get the smokey effect. you need a darker shade of eyeshaddow for this. using an eyeshaddow brush, blend in colour starting at your lash line and blending up. make sure to blend colour into the lash line so the eyeliner dissapears. stop the deep colour at the crease. then just double check your work to check that your eyes match and you can even blend the colour with a cotton bud if you want.almost done. finish with several coats of volumising mascara like dior's show mascara or loreal paris volume shocking mascara....one more thing, remember to keep your lips to a nude colour otherwise you may end up looking a bit like a drag queen lol.PRETTY EYES:pretty, springtime eyes can be created using some of the new pastel, frosted eyeshaddow colours. try some of the new offbeat colours like pink or yellow. use them to line all the way around your eyes.again, firstly youll need to prep the lid, this is the key to keeping your
eyeshaddow put all day long. this will also stop your shaddow melting
into your eyelid crease after a few hours. to do this, start wil an
eyeshaddow base/primer. try MAC's prep and prime eye or fresh freshface
perfecting eye primer. then the rest is simple, just apply your colour, if you want two seperate colours then remember to blend, blend, blend. finish off with some brown or black mascara and there you have it, another great look.this look is great for eyes that are close set, use lighter coloured eyeshaddow on the inner portion of the lid towards the nose and darker eyeshaddow on the outer edge of the lid. (reverse technique should be used to apply eyeshaddow for widely spaced eyes).NEUTRAL COLOURS:the best make-up colours for brown eyes are actually neutrals. try colours in the brown family like taupes and peaches. l'oreal do some lovely neautral shades. try to somewhat coordinate your look. i dont mean your shaddow should be beige, your blush should be beige, and your lipstick should be beige. i dont mean a monotone colour, just a coordinated one.apply primer as described previously. apply eyeliner under the eyes (above eyelashes) and a thin line
above the eyes close to the eyelashes. grab your eyeshadow brush that is thinnest and dab it in the eyeshadow. raise your eyebrows, find the crease of your upper eyelid
(where you might feel the bone for the top of your eye socket), and
then take the brush and line it with the eyeshadow. do it as if
you're holding a pencil and you're using it to draw on your eyes. do this to make a half circle above your eyes. (don't go too far
out to the side of your face when doing this step).to do the bottom part of the eyeshadow, take out your thin
brushed eyeshadow brush again and dab it in your black eyeshadow.
(tap it on the rim to get rid of excess eyeshadow that could fall
off the brush and leave unattractive black spots of eyeshadow under
your eyes or on your cheeks!) with one easy motion, start by putting the brush under your
bottom lashes and sweeping it from side to side in a straight
motion to create the point under the eye on both sides.touch up by making sure no excess eyeshadow fell onto unwanted
places on your face and adding a little concealer to seal the
deal. and you're done!COORDINATE YOUR COLOURS:if you are wearing shaddows from the brown family, try a peach blush. if you are wearing a more colourful shaddow like violet or blue, use a berry or rose coloured blush. keep like colours together: muted with muted. bright with bright.make-up for brown eyes really has no rules. when selecting an eyeliner, you can go with dark browns for a natural look and black for a more intense look. you can frame your eyes with tons of mascara and not end up looking all panda eyed. play it up and emphasize it all you want.CHOOSING A SHADDOW:here are some of the best eyeshaddows i have found:PERSCRIPTIVES- these individual shadows will set you back at about 7 each

Sad New Changes To Feedback 08

Well, by now you will all know that sellers can no longer leave suitable negative feedback for buyers who are trouble makers..and that's a shame.

I wear both hats being a seller and a buyer. Just recently I purchased a vintage girl guide belt (May 08 see.. feedback left for others ) after the auction ended my seller emailed me to say he NOW wanted a postal payment and not paypal. I sent his payment by recorded post only to receive a nasty email from him because the postman had woken him up, to sign for the letter! I left him negative feedback because I felt his cold rudness totaly unacceptable. This seller became so enraged that he could not respond in retaliation that he promptly bought my one and only item for sale (JAEGER VINTAGE TEA DRESS) with a buy it now, just so he could leave me negative feedback.

His next instant email was to inform me that he had put a cash payment in the post and wanted the item asap. I reminded him to re read my listing as that was NOT an acceptable means of payment, a few days passed and his emails got longer, more demanding and more persistant he even made demands for money by way of a refund even though I was still waiting for his postal payment!

I informed him that he should take his proof of posting to the post office who would help him further. To cut a long story short he was clearly a bully and a Non Paying Bidder who had no intentions of paying and could not produce a postal receipt of any sort. All his abusive nasty demanding emails were forwarded on to Ebay Trust and Safety including the email headers so they could trace the emails back to him, he promptly got an ~ Unpaid Item Strike~ added to his account plus he's now on ebays Radar and on my block bidders list.

The very day he bought my item I phoned Ebay Customer Services to alert them about his actions so they could keep track of him....and they did..and ARE.

The moral of this story is that you are NOT without power, keep ALL EMAILS AND EMAIL HEADERS ebay cannot trace ANY emails without them. Make sure your acceptable means of payment are CLEAR in your listing as this WILL be checked by ebay, I know its irritating but you MUST follow the correct procedure as laid down by ebay, then you CAN say you have done it! any negative feedback you get REPLY to it anyway and IN LARGE LETTERS so others will know it is NOT positive feedback..just feedback, and write a review like the one you are now reading it lets everyone know. I do hope this has helped you.

Keeping Rabbits as Pets PHOTOS

Thinking of buying a rabbit? Got a rabbit but not sure how to care for it? READ ON......

Right now, everyone wants a 'house rabbit'. That is, one that has the free range of your appartment or home, rather than being kept in a cage. What awonderful concept! I recently saw one for sale in a local pet shop for 200. That's not a lot of money compared with what a house rabbit is going to cost you in chewed furniture, electical wires and skirting boards. A house rabbit can be trained to do it's business inlitter tray, much like a cat would, but it is natural for a rabbit to wear down it's continually growing teeth on whatever is convenient. It may be thisseason's 'must have' pet..but you have been warned. Instead, you could spend a tenner and get a perfectly adequate cross breed that will be a great companion for years.

If you want to own a rabbit, I think they are the best small pet you could wish for...clean...usually non aggressive,...furry, resilient, and easy to keep. At the risk of causing offence to owners of other small rodents, other furrries justdon't compete, in my experience. Guinea pigs are noisy, prone to illness, hamsters bite and are nocturnal, rats urinate everywhereand mice smell....but rabbits are quiet, laid back and easy going. They will tolerate being pulled about by kiddies, love being stroked and demand very little.

So what do you need to set up?

Basically you need aLARGE hutch. Most of the hutches on sale are so small it'scruel, so buy, or make, the biggest you can. Access to your lawn is a posititve asset. The sleeping quarters should bedivided, warm and dry.

Rabbits are sociable animals. Two neuters are fine together. Any other combination, expect problems. An entire male can service a couple of does a year, but it would be cruel not to give him any female company, ever. Get him 'done'! It will be money well spent.

As well as a proper hutch, you will needa constant supply of food, fresh hay, water, newpaper bedding, innoculations and TLC. These arenot the sort of pets you can leave for weeks on end while you holiday in Marbella. They need regular attention and their quarterscleaning out. I recommend every day orevery other day attention. Fresh greens, carrots etc are a must every day to maintain a healthy pet. Fresh hay is good bedding, sheets of newspaper to line out the cage to enable easy clean-ups. Hay is avaluable food source, so get plenty of that.Forget straw...it's a waste of money, andthe sharp bits could cause an eye injury. Pellet food is thebest. If you give the muelsli style diet your rabbit will just pick out the bits it likes and leave the rest. Honest to god. They are not stupid!

There are suppliments, licks and treats you can buy, but mine are 6 years old andhave survivednicely without, thank you very much. I'd rather give them extra hay!

Rabbits love green-stuffs. I alwayschuck a couple of bags of spring greens into thesupermarket trolly for the rabbits, maybe some carrots too. But in thespring/summer you can just gather some meadow plants for them...grass,nettles,cows parsley etc.Get it from an unpolluted source.

****It's important you can tell cows parsley from hemlock Cows parsley (the goody) has a delicate creamy white umbrella flower,a corrugated stem anddoesn't grow too tall. However hemlock (lookssimialr)is bigger, taller, andhas a SMOOTH stem and will KILL your rabbits stone dead if you feed it to them.****

If in doubt stick to carrots, grass, spring greensand nettles!

Myxi is a disease rabbits catch from wild rabbits etc. Innoculate every year against it. If your animal develops large black scales / sores, this is a form of myxi. It may will recover with good nursing but it's horrible....best to get your rabbit jabbed every year, just in case. Costs just a few quid.

Just 'cos your bunny is outside in it's run in the evenings, it doesn't mean you can't give it lots of cuddles while you are watching telly. Try stetching out on the sofa with your rabbit on yourchest.Stroking this compliant animal is sheer ecstacy! He relaxes...aftera while, falls alseep, motionless...stroking his soft fur relaxes you...you doze off...ah! it's bliss!......... Stress busting, ancient-style!Cat's usually want to get down or start licking their rear ends or something, but a rabbits just submit to your loving stokes...the perfect pet...without the purr!

I hope you have found this useful. Please give me a YES vote below to boost my rating. I have other guides you might like so take a look and vote for them too please!

Cat collars, micro-chips and safety

First of all, the best thing to do is to have your cat micro-chipped by your vet, this will provide a record of ownership (whichever of you owns the other :-) ) should your little friend go missing.

However, as micro-chips are invisible to the naked eye and can only be detected by means of a scanner it is not always evident that your pet has a home unless he or she is scanned, so my personal choice is to also put a collar on.

Many people do not agree with collars on cats due to the possibility of the collar becoming caught in a branch or something else and the cat being unable to escape. For this reason I would only ever use a safety collar for outdoor cats.

Furthermore I would not ever use an elasticated collar, although these are sometimes described as safety collars. The reason for this is that although the elastic would 'give' and possibly the cat could get out of the collar, there is also the danger that it may catch a paw in the actual collar while trying to escape. This can cause horrendous injuries to the neck if the cat is not found and taken to a vet, the collar can become embedded in the flesh of the cats neck, and sometimes the paw can become caught throught the collar, resulting in a deep cut, or worse, the loss of a limb.

So, by all means use a safety collar on your cat but do consider that the best ones to buy are those with a safety clip which will pull undone should your cat become caught.

In addition to this, if you allow your cat out at night or in the dark, do consider a reflective collar, better still keep your kitty indoors safely at night, away from dark roads and possible cat-nappers.

To avoid small injuries to your pet, be aware of the sharpness of some of the highly decorated and fashionable collars that are available these days, some of the 'bling' can damage little paws and get caught in coats.

One more thing to consider, along with the collar to show puss has a home - a tag or barrel with your phone no. and postcode. If you have a particularly sociable cat he or she may be less likely to get 'adopted' by a neighbour if it looks as if he has a loving home already.

If you have found this guide helpful please vote :-)

Necessary Material Removal To Allow Full Elevator Deflection The clearance slot (in the rear fuselage) for the elevator bridge will require further cutting to allow full upside elevator deflection . The elevator should have equal deflection up and down with no hindering.

Slimming / Dieting Pills Fact or Fiction?

.Slimming pills at a glance appear to be a quick fix and easy way to drop weight tempting you with miracle drugs that cause instant and effective results.Coming from a sports science background I can almost 100% verify that they lead to almost no weight loss, the primary components of "dieting pills" is caffeine which cause an increase in your metabolic functions giving the feeling of surplus energy which could encourage you to partake in exercise but will not cause increased weight loss. Other problems with caffeine are that it is an addictive substance, im sure a large percentage of you consume tea or coffee and some of us consume a little too much, when the pots empty you enter withdrawal. Drinks such as red-bull are high in caffeine approx 200mg / can. (Approx 4-5 cups of coffee) and consuming this amount of caffeine on a regular basis can lead to addiction. Most dieting pills contain 250mg-350mg of caffeine which is the same as 5-7 cups of coffee, the drug caffeine does have some positives itcan lead to performanceimprovement during high intensity aerobic exercise and reaction timeshence why it is a prohibited IOC substance but does not lead to weight loss.

Leading back to the dieting pills substances such as xenocal (Lipase Inhibitor) which stops your body from breaking down and digesting fat are proven effectivewith a calorie controlled diet, can lead to weight loss but are only prescribed to subjects with high BMI (Body Mass Index) generally in the categories of obese and above.

Unfortunately folks the most effective means of losing weight is reducing your calorie intake marginally say 250-500 calories a day and repeated low intensity aerobic exercise. In English that means walking at a moderate pace or light jog at this intensity your body will burn fat instead or utilizing other energy pathways. Ideally this should be 20mins or longer in duration for example walking the dog and to loose weight in a safe manner you should expect no more that +/- 2lbs a week.

Another factor is that herbal medicine and alternativeremedies have no governing body or testing procedure unlike licensed drugs from your chemist or GP who have to seek approval and testingfrom the FDA or equivalent body(Food and Drug Agency). Meaning that the unlicensed herbaldrugs sold on eBay may contain similar contents to that of legitimate substances but they have not been screened andtested, their contents and quantities areunknown making slightly risky. In conclusion physiologically they provide limited improvement in weight loss which is atmost probablyattributed topsychosomatic response.(You think its working thus your workload increases)

If you have found this review helpful please vote and if you have anyquestions regarding weight loss feel free to message me with any questions.

Importing a Guitar from America

Having imported a fair few guitars from america before i thought this information, although seemingly obvious, might be useful to anyone trying to make good use of the current exchange rates.First of all, go to ebay.com not ebay.co.ukThis way you will find many listings that don't come up when you do an international search from ebay.co.uk

Secondly, many of the guitars listed will not state that they ship to the UK, don't let this put you off. When you have found the gutiar you want, put it into your watch list and in a seperate window open ebay.co.uk and look at your page, it will convert the currency for you.The most important thing you can do is talk to the seller ALOT! most of the time they are quite willing to ship to UK if you show yourself to be human rather than another faceless ebay name!

try and get the dimensions and weight of the fully packaged guitar, then get your own shipping quotes from ups.com Usps.com fedex.com or parcelforce.com

If you can prove to the seller that you are genuine you can often sway them into selling to UK

Finally, when you send the seller an email or a message, try and talk to them as if you were sitting next to them, short generic sounding messages are a real put off when someone is asking you to send overseas. prove that you know what the item is by asking specific questions about it.DO NOT WRITE THIS: Hi, how much to send to the uk? thanks (ebay member)Do write this: Hi, sweet looking strat! i've been looking for an Alpine white one for years now! what pickups are fitted to it? whats the action like? i'll bet you'll be sad to see this beauty go! Are you willing to send her to the UK? if you give me the package dimensions i can send you a link to the (website) with a postage quote! check my feedback to see i'm genuine!all the best, (ebay member)The worst they can say is no. guitars in america are far cheaper than here in the UK, make the most of our super powerful currency and get a better guitar for your money!

i hope this has been helpful to you!

buyers rights and a guide to refunds

This is a summary of buyers rites under the "sales of goods act 1979"If an item is found to be faulty or not as described then by law, whether the seller is private or a trader, the buyer is entitled to a full refund, including postage and any extra costs.I am writing this guide as there is nothing on Ebay about what as a buyer are you entitled too when there's a problem with the item.I phoned trading standards and was told that by sending the item back to the seller, the seller has to pay the costs. On a number of occasions i have had sellers trying to give some of the refund, not all. They cannot take off any expenses they have incurred.eg ebay expenses or shipping expenses they have too pay out.You as the buyer are entitled to a full refund including expenses that you've paid out for shipping. So if a seller states in the refund that you wont receive the shipping fees then avoid at all costs. They are breaking the law in the UK.If you don't believe me then just type in trading standards on the internet, see for yourself.A lot of shops, auctions etc don't tell you this information.i wonder y???I wrote this article a while ago and now i am a seller nothing much has changed. It seems as long as Ebay cover their own backside, sellers can do what they like.I make mistakes like everyone, but for sellers to continue on Ebay then Ebay need to do something about the few bad sellers.

Comic Grading

Hi, welcome tothe webfluidguide to comic grading.

As i have been informed on numerous occasions comic grading is speculative and down to personal opinion. I beg to differ on this, after sending countless comics to CGC in the U.S.( the most trusted and respected graders of comicsin the world)for a grade, you get to know what is good and what is bad when trying to make a judgement when selling an ungraded book.

Grading comics in the lower grades is considerably harder than grading books in the higher grades. So within this guide i would like to add my thoughts on what makes a Near Mint / Mint book different to a Gem which is the correct term for a book in the very best condition that can be obtained.

Gem

Just the title will give you an idea on what characteristics are needed to put your book in this catagory.

The book will have an unmarked, untouched , unread appearance. A book with these characteristics should remain untouched and gloves should really be used when handling a book that you think will reach this grade. As the smallest of scratches from rough/ dry skin could make the difference between a 9.9 -10.0. If you have ordered a comic book through the post and it has been packed between card the chances are this process on its own will knock it from a Mint to a Near mint.

A gem will still have the apearance that it has just come off the press:

The cover will have and unpressed glossy appearance, you can still see the guilotine burrs on the base of the spine. The cover still has a gape from where it has never been opened or stored under any pressure. There will be no ripple in the pages .

The cover will be straight with no creases, dings or Marvel chipping to the spine. No rusty staples Corner blunts or any sign of being stored in a damp envoironment.

A straight cover:

A minor ding:

A small mark like this can make all the difference and from experience if the book meets all the other criteria and has a blemish like this it will get a 9.4 if it has 2 marks it will knock it down to a 9.2.

Near Mint Grade 9.8-9.6-9.4

A near mint example of a comic book is the top of the tree for most comic collectors and is the most realistic grade that can be acheived by private collectors that have their books graded. Unless you can source the books first hand or you buy them in such quantity that they arrive to you undamaged.

Several times i have sent books away for grading in the belief that i have found a gem. Two months later they arrive and not been graded NM (9.8)they are NM(9.6). 9.4 being NM - minus

This used to puzzle me and can only be put down to what is inside the book and on the rear cover. Sellers often forget to look at the rear cover and within the book, as there can often be twisted pages, scratches bent staples and smudges. If you really want to see what grade your comic is handle it carefully (with Gloves ) and place it on a clean scanner out of the bag it may or may not be in and scan it into a photo editing program and zoom in on the book. You will be amazed at the dust, scratches and blemishes that the naked eye cannot see.

Zoomed image:

This image shows printing imperfections quite clearly. These marks can make all the difference between a 9.8 and a 9.6.

Another common flaw when you believe you have a Mint example of a book is MARVEL CHIPPING. This occurs within the printing process and is common on black cover comics and older comics from the silver age. Older comic books seem to have this due to age and the way they have been stored but moderns do suffer from this where the ink dries too quickley and becomes flakey. Here is a good example of this on a modern age book showing the black ink flaking on the crease of the comic

Corner Blunts

Minor corner blunts will cost you a high grade depending on the severity of the pressure applied to the corner One tiny knock such as this:

could cost as much as 1.0 point in the grading system. Combined with the apparent slight marvel chipping on this book on the edges would knock it down to a 7.5 just looking at this corner of the book . This book was sold to me as a MINT example............. It would be lucky to make VG (6.5) and i wouldnt even try and dress it up as anything else.

As you can see comic grading is a very complicated business and all i have tried to do here is descipher the difference between Mint and NM (grades 10.0-9.2) just 8 grades!!. I hope this gives you an insight into grading books and helps you decide if your books really are worth sending to the U.S for grading and also help you in the purchase of good comics.

PS3 SIXAXIS Controller plus and minuses

Key Features:
* Motion Sensing System: Thanks to breakthrough technology and a highly sensitive motion sensing system, the controller becomes a natural extension of the user's body.
* Bluetooth: Bluetooth for wireless gameplay (the PlayStation 3 system can support up to seven wireless controllers at one time).
* Wireless or Wired: The Sixaxis controller can be easily switched from wireless to wired.
* Analog Joy Sticks: The tilting angle of the analog joy stick has been slightly broadened to enable more delicate and dynamic manipulation.
* L2/R2 Buttons: The shape of the L2/R2 buttons has been altered, enabling increased travel and precision for more subtle control in games.
* USB Charging: Plug into a USB cable and automatically charge the controller through the system at any time. (Use any of the four USB connectors on the PlayStation 3.)
* Ease of Installation: Easy to set up and compatible with today's monitors and televisions
On the downside they have had to remove the rumble that the ps2 controller had, since it would interfere with the motion sesing system, but its a good trade. Rumble was pretty worthless anyway.

Rating: 9/10, its got the classic classic feel, the R2 L2 buttons are perfect for car games since they can tell how hard you are pressing, and its bluetooth so you can lay with you contoller in bed without any problems with cables and so on!

Know when you have recieved fake designer clothes.

It can be very difficult when buying designer clothes to spot a fake before it is bought. There are a couple of good guides on ebay relating to specific brands, but for the rest you are on your own. However when you recieve it and it clearly a fake, there is no reason to accept it and write it off against experience. So how can you tell a fake? The absolute giveaway always is the material. Fakes by their nature are cheaply made and of a cheap often coarse material. If you you do not have a feel for designer materials, go into your local designer store in the nearest big town, preferably one that stocks a number of brands and just feel the shirts, trousers, jackets etc and notice the fine quality of the material. For some time I kept two Thomas Burberry shirts to show people the difference between fakes and the real item. They looked absolutely identical even down to the sown on Burberry logo. It was only when you felt the fake material that you realised it was coarse and fairly uncomfortable to wear, whereas the real item was of a fine and comfortable material. A second giveaway is the stitching Look at sown on labels, especially on Jeans, trousers and jackets. If you can see the stitching through the other side without having to look very carefully, it is almost certainly a fake. You may be able to see the stitching of the real item if you look very carefully, but it will be fine stitching and of a cotton that blends in very well with the main material. You won't for instance see thick white cotton on a beige jacket, which I saw once on a CP Company fake. Also there are quite often crudely stictched on fake labels that aren't straight or in the right place. A third giveaway is the buttons. On better fakes the buttons are also properly faked, but some fakes are so cheap they even have the wrong buttons! So if you buy a Versace shirt and the buttons say HK368, you've been had. Finally a few guidelines for avoiding fakes in the first place.1) You are much safer buying smaller designer labels than the big international designer names. Go to India or the Far East and you will see market stalls awash with desiigner fakes of everyting. They are always the big names people recognise. Versace, Ralph Lauren, Armani, Lacoste, Stone Island, Diesel, Prada to mention only a few. In menswear, labels like Nicole Farhi, Ozwald Boateng, John Smedley, Kenzo, Canali, Zegna, Ted Baker, Nigel Hall again to mention only a few are rarely faked.2) Beware the acronym BNWT (Brand New with Tags) on the big designer names. Unless they are at a sensible price, they will nearly always be fakes. Once again if you ever get the chance to visit India or the Far East, you will realise just how many of these are produced.3) Don't accept the sellers description. If they are dishonest enough to knowingly sell fakes, they will likely be dishonest enough to lie in the description. Comments like 100% genuine are not worth anything as dishonest as well as honest sellers are just as likely to make that claim. Also comments like 'Bought last year from Selfridges' can be made by honest and dishonest sellers alike. You can get a feel for an honest seller, but I for one don't always get that right. 4) Check the feedback. If there are a number of feedbacks suggesting the items are fake and the seller is continually selling the same sort of merchamdise, be very wary.

5 Top Tips to a better clothes price and great feedback

5 Top Tips for selling clothes that delight your buyer and get you a better price and great feedback

Do you sell clothes on Ebay, or would you like to? Everyone has clothes.Parents, dieters, declutterers and clotheaholics may find themselves with clothing that they have little use for. Selling them on Ebay may seem like a great idea but selling clothes can provide a number of challenges. Clothes are a typical "touch and feel" product and at first glance, it may seem difficult to sell clothes on-line. The biggest obstacle to selling clothes on-line is that customers can't try them on and this can cause a lot of tension and disappointment if the item received is not what was expected but this article will help you sell clothes for a better price and get great feedback from your customers.

Clothing

It is often not profitable to sell used clothing on Ebay at all, but Meg's Laws, below, will help you get the best price you can. There are a few exceptions to low clothing prices. These are for very high end clothing (designer) large "lots" of clothing, unusual designs, patterns or sizes and where you have an item that has very few others listed.

Meg's Laws

Thousands of women buy evening wear, fun, sexy, Mother of the Bride or Groom, children's, Church, extra small, tall, or plus-size clothing every day but when people shop for clothes, they like to feel the fabric and examine the details. This is what makesselling clothes on-line challenging. Selling clothing needs detailed pictures and at least some measurements. This increases the likelihood of clothes fitting better and looking better on your customer which means fewer returns and more satisfied customers.

Meg's Law #1 - Measure, measure, measure

No matter what size the clothes are marked, they will NOT fit someone who is, or who claims to be that size. There is no agreed sizing in the clothing industry. Chain store clothing has always been sized differently from one brand to another, thats why you never know what size will actually fit. If you provide accurate measurements, the return rate on purchases will be lower and your customers will be happier because they are getting what they expect. Measure the size of the clothes, even the length and width, as well as describing the kind and quality of fabric. For instance, on women's trousers, give the waist size and inside leg length as a minimum and say whether the waist is at the waist or below. Any real customer is going to need this information. If you are lucky, they will ask for it, if you haven't already provided it but they may also just move onto the next item.

If you haven't got a Measuring Tape you can print one out on Ebay

Meg's Law # 2 - nothing beats a decent photo

Clothes are a typical "touch and feel" product and your selling description needs to be the next best thing to handling the item. Some sellers invest in (or borrow) a mannequin so the cut and style are visible. A picture of your next door neighbour (minus her head) wearing the outfit, unless she is a Super Model, does not flatter the outfit, nor does a folded item on a bedspread, nor a lopsided outfit hanging untidily from a hangar. Photographing each item is time consuming but vital if you want to sell. There is nothing wrong with photographing an entire lot of clothing in one or two pictures if you are selling a number of items. A picture is worth a thousand words, and you need at least one good one to sell your auction item. If the item has special detailing, take a close up of it. This can increase the price. Don't say, "Excuse the photos, the camera wasn't working"! Get it working or get a friend to take a decent picture for you. Pictures that are too dark or out of focus lose you customers and reduce the price you can get.

Meg's Law # 3 - be accurate - check twice, write once

If you want to be a frequent Ebay seller, don't risk your reputation over easily corrected mistakes. Most buyers will check the seller's feedback before they buy something. If the item is "Like New", then it's fine to say so but don't describe it as immaculate if it's not - you'll get very poor feedback. Don't overuse the word "stunning" - buyers' eyes glaze over when the same person uses this word for every item they are selling.

Meg's Law # 4 - Don't be Greedy

Second hand clothes don't have a high resale value. Set your starting price at a reasonable amount. If your item is in demand, the bidding will drive the price up but if you start the price too high, you may not get anyone interested. Check out the prices for recent similar items.

Meg's Law # 5 - Make the most of your Selling Points

If your piece of clothing is an expensive brand name, not only will people be searching for it regularly, some will have email alerts set up to let them know if an item in their size has been listed, soput the designer's name in the title. Plus size items in the upper range of sizes do well, as they are hard to find in stores. For many women, finding plus-size clothes is difficult and time consuming make their search easier and you'll benefit with more sales at better prices.

Even though there are barriers to successfully selling clothes on-line, these 5 top tips will help you sell your clothes for higher prices and get good feedback.

Using a HD TV as a computer monitor

If you want to use your HD TV as a computer monitor then a popular thing that catches people out if deciding on the right way of connecting the two together.

The computer end is fairly simple, if you have a DVI or HDMI output then use these as theyare Digital Signals and the best choice for quality, if you have neither of these then use the VGA DSUB which is the normal analogue female D shaped 15 pin output that was the way all PCs used to connect to monitors.

As for the HD TV, it may have HDMI, DVI, VGA DSUB, Composite, SCART and SVHS.

Checkin the manufacturer's manual to see what they recommend for connecting to a PC.

Ifthey recommend VGA DSUBand you use theHDMI or DVI you will probably find that itwill not run at its native resolution and will look odd.

The native resolution is what the monitor needs to be set to, for example most use WXGA which is 1366x768; you will need to have this resolution in the list of resolutions on your PC.

Many Graphics cards do not support this, if you have an ATI or Nvidia graphics card then they support adding a custom resolution if it is not already in the list.

Once you have battled with all of this then you may find that the screen does not fit, for example part of the start button may be hidden, the TV should have an option to change the height and width of the image and maybe options for moving it left and right and up and down.

Despite your best efforts the end result may still be less than satisfactory, in which case a better graphics card or some expert advice may be required.

10 Steps to Making Beautiful Medallion Stamp Images

The aim of this guide is to explain the basic step-by-step principles of using Medallion Stamps to create beautiful images which can form the stunning centrepiece of any papercraft project.

Don't forget that you can change the colour of paper, glitter and even the number of layers you want to create intricate and a different result everytime you use your stamp.

1. Stamp the image onto the card for the number of layers you want in your finished image, using an embossing inkpad. For a more stunning effect, try alternating the colour of your cardstock between layers.

2.Sprinkle the wet images generously with embossing powder - gold works well with most Medallion stamps. Tap off the excess back into a Craft Tray to return it to the jar.

3. Heat the powdered design until the powder melts for each layer.

4. Cut out the base layer leaving a narrow border (approximately 2mm) around the embossing. This will improve the appearance, but is only needed for the first layer.

5. Cut out the second image, but making it smaller than the first by leaving some of the peripheral parts out. Cut to the embossing edge for this and every later part. Accurate cutting is the key to success.

6. Cut out the remaining layers as in Step 5.

7. Once you have cut the required number of layers, apply glitter to the required areas. To do this you will need use Clear Art Glitter Glue. You will need to snip off the end of the tube just enough to allow the glue to flow, then attach the fine metal tip to the tube of glue. Although the glue looks white, it will dry clear. If you use Pee Wee Glitters, they will be transparent so, when dry, the lines of the image will show through. As the colour of the card will also show through, remember to use complementing colours of glitter.

8. Apply the glue to the chosen areas, working around the image. Don't glue the whole area at once, it will dry before you get to apply all the glitter. When you first apply the glue, don't worry if it appears bulbous, as it will dry flat. Sprinkle the glitter onto the glue and then tap the excess back off into your Craft Tray. Work from the outside of each image, and remember that when you place the next image on top it will cover the centre of the piece below - so don't waste time and glitter where you don't need to.

9. When you are happy with the glittering on all your pieces, simple mount them on top of each other using sticky foam pads, starting with the largest and working through to the smallest, taking care to line them up.

10. Then mount your Medallion image asthe centrepiece of your chosen project.

Enjoy your new masterpiece!

United States PATTERN PIECES

A fascinating, but 'not well known' sector of numismatics are Pattern Pieces.

What is a Pattern? Pattern pieces consist of numerous designs and experimental pieces which were made by the U.S. Mint in an effort to improve the nation's coinage. Basically, a pattern piece is a coin that was struck as a recommendation example for a new coin series, intended to show the Mint and Treasury Department officials or members of congress to evaluate. They were struck as an artist's idea of what a particular coin series design should look like.

If the pattern was accepted, it became a regular familiar issue. Whether accepted or rejected, pattern pieces were NOT intended to be sold, but before 1887, manywere released from the mint, sold and traded to collectors, or given to government officials, and became available for the collecting society. During mid-1887, the Mint implemented strict regulations prohibiting the sale and distribution of U.S. Pattern pieces.

There are over 2000 distinct varieties and most of these are considered very rare and therefore expensive. It would be virtually impossible for any collector to assemble a complete set of U.S. Pattern Pieces. If you ever have the chance to purchase even 1 pattern piece, I recommend adding it to your collection. Studying patterns can not only give collectors a wider range of their numismatic knowledge, but they also learn about U.S. history, politics, 19th century artists and society, anextension of the Minting Process, and a true realization of what 'rare' really is!

Ebay Search Results

When searching for a particular item on ebay, the results can vary tremendously depending on what you type in the search bar.

Take for example an 1883-CC Morgan Dollar. You will get a different number of results depending SPECIFICALLY on your wording in the search box. You could type in exactly '1883-CC Morgan Dollar', or '1883 CC Morgan Dollar' (NO DASH between the 1883 and CC)... just by leaving out the dash, you will get many more results. Then if you try 1883CC Morgan Dollar (No dash or space), you get some listings, but not many. Then there are all the other variations such as '1883-CC Dollar', '1883 Carson City Dollar', 1883-CC Morgan Silver Dollar', '1883 CC Morgan Dollar', '1883 CC Silver Dollar'.

Normally, the less words typed in the search box, the greater number of listings will be found. You can narrow your searches by adding extra tags such as the grade, mintmarkorcertification service when searching for coins. The same rules apply for any item you may be searching for. As a seller, you can take advantage of this concept by choosing your title wording very carefully.

Diet Weight Loss Advise

1) Don't ever skip breakfast. Eat something: a piece of toast, fruit, etc.

Your body's metabolism rate slows down at night and does not speed up again

until you eat something. If you wait until lunch to eat, that is 4 or more

hours that your body is burning calories at a lower rate. Eat something soon

after you get out of bed and your body will burn calories at a higher rate

until lunch. Also, don't go more than about 5 hours during the day without

eating. That causes you to eat more at meal time. Eat healthy, low-fat snacks

in between meals is you are going to go more than 5 hours without a meal

2) Right after eating a meal, especially dinner, go straight to the bathroom

to brush, floss, and mouthwash so that your mouth is feeling nice and clean-

this makes it less appealing to eat more (especially before

bedtime)

3) If you get hungry you should chew gum. Some people just like to chew

things. Chew gum while preparing meals or making lunch for the next day, to

prevent you from nibbling food while it is right in front of you.

4) I have noticed that if you eat your meals away from the T.V. and other

distracting places that you will enjoy your meal better and will take a

little longer to eat the meal. Also drink at least 2 glasses of water or one

glass of milk during your meal and you will feel fuller causing you to not go

back for seconds.(note: i suggest water, if drinking milk make it skimmied milk)

5) Weight in pounds multipled by 15 will equal the number of calories per day

to maintain that weight. 500 calories less per day will result in approx 1 lb

weight loss per week; 750 calories = 1 1/2 lbs per week; 1000 calories = 2 lbs

per week. Keep a daily diary of calorie intake. Fat, carbohydrates and protein

will automaticly adjust themselves to stay within alloted calories per day.

6) Keep healthy foods handy like fruit or vegetables in the fridge. Eat only

if hungry.

7) Keep a diary of your eating and your feelings, far away from the kitchen.

Document everything that you eat before you eat it. Describe how you feel

health wise as you progress. Describe how you feel when you cheat your self.

8) Soups are a great meal, they are filling, tasty, and healthy. *Soups may

be a good and filling meal, but healthy is debatable. Just look at the amount

of sodium in the most popular brands. Even the low sodium brands have more

in them than most other types of meals (with half the taste).

9) Never starve yourself, especially before going out to eat (or you will

binge). Never skip meals, you must have some kind of nourishment regularly

or your body's starvation defenses will kick in,lower your metabolism, and

store fat. Use nutritional meal replacements instead of skipping or eating

very low calorie meals.

10) Don't think that just because you are eating low fat/low calorie foods

that you can eat all that you want. The calories still add up and must be

burned off regardless of what kind of food you eat. Balance is key

Second hand caravan ? this one really was a little gem

I ( foolishly ) bid on a 1989 Abbey Executive 360/2 - without any prior knowledge, or anything. Stupid, yes. Got carried away with the moment , and next thing .... It was mine !! My hubby was furious but we went andpaid the 800 for it, as it didn't look so bad to the untrained eye, and towed it away. It was in amazing condition - dry as a bone and barely used - everything spotlessly clean, and like new. Also had a full awning with it thats like new. We've had it over 12 mnths now - its taken us on loads of trips and holidays - we've thoroughly enjoyed having it and it owes us not even a penny. AND I reckon we'll get another two good years out of it - so cheer up, second hand isn't always bad !!!!

PRIMARK LEATHER JACKETS!!

Recently, I've noticed people selling Primark "Leather" jackets. They're not leather at all! Some people are even charging 40 for some.

Please don't be fooled! They sold for 11 on the shelves at Primark, so its ridiculous how people are trying to con others out of maybe even 30 extra.

So if you see a Primark "Leather" jacket for sale for more than it's worth, make sure you don't get fooled!
